Having a strong immune system is crucial to remaining healthy. However, certain eating and drinking habits may be working against you. Excessive alcohol consumption has been linked to weakened immune systems. Salt is a problem as well. It should be used sparingly, and processed foods should be avoided. Sugar and caffeine also pose problems for your immune system. Instead, commit to eating green vegetables, especially cruciferous ones, and foods that are high in fiber, such as whole grains, nuts and beans.
